Fay-Ann Lyons “Girls” | Music Video
We met Jus Now about 5 years ago through a mutual friend who was touring with the heavy rhythm outfit here in the UK. Their fusion of Caribbean riddims, mainly soca, with DnB caught our attention and for the next couple of years, invited to several of their gigs, we captured some of their live performances.
We’d been working on bringing together the Jus Now footage to produce a short promo when we heard “Girls”. Our idea initially was to visually present the UK and Caribbean experience in tribute to their music productions. As fate would have it, we met the guys in Trinidad this year for the annual carnival and they were hanging out (‘liming’) with Fay-Ann. We grabbed some impromptu shots of her enjoying the festivities and that changed the direction of the video.
Jus Now have collaborated with numerous stars including Bunji Garlin (Truck on the Road, Tun Up, Exodus, Good Up, Big Bad Soca, etc.), Stylo G (Tun Up), Machel Montano (Junction), Beenie Man … to name a few.
This year they teamed up with Fay-Ann Lyons for two tracks, “High Heels” and “Girls”, which feature on her recently released VP Album “Break the World”.
Jus Now is Sam Interface and LazaBeam Keshav (with Vanna Vee, Kerwin Prescott and Serocee plus others adding to their live festival team).
